Delivering Ploughing Excellence.

A long and successful history in iron and steel handling combined with a solid experience in ploughing across various soil types gives Överum Ploughs a distinct advantage in the market regarding output, efficiency and service life.

Perfected with over 350 years of experience, the Swedish methods of steel production and handling create a stronger and lighter product, allowing for harder work with lower HP requirements and a smoother, more firm and level finish.

Choose between mounted or semi-mounted ploughs with a variety of headstocks and plough bodies designed for different soils, each designed with a flush level point for a smoother rollover. Coupled with a strong fracturing action, these world-class plough bodies are differentiated by superb soil-lifting abilities. Their overall design ensures soil penetration even in rough conditions, without putting additional pressure on the bottom of the furrow.

Features

FarmChief Machinery New Zealand Överum Ploughs

Maximum Durability

Överum Plough’s feature a high strength-to-weight ratio thanks to their heat-treated, hardened steel – their frame tubes of HRM 500 steel have 40% higher yield strength compared to a standard frame. This results in a high-bending resistance that can withstand large loads.

Their modular system significantly increases the life of the implement, allowing for worn or damaged parts to be easily replaced.

Additionally, the width adjustment components feature changeable bushings with lubrication, improving overall performance and reducing the effect of dust and moisture.

Simple and easy setup

The simple and logical adjustment system makes it easy to adjust the plough to produce the lowest draught, helping to achieve the best ploughing result at the lowest operating cost.

Överum ploughs feature separate set screws for individual right and left-hand adjustments of the furrow width and ploughing line. Additionally, the turnbuckle on the side of the frame affects the alignment of the plough body, helping to balance the lateral forces so the plough easily follows the tractor.

The simple set-up is key to the performance of the ploughs, with less stress on the wearable parts and a higher quality result.

Stone Release System

With one of the highest release points on the market for stone release, Överum Plough geometry ensures a minimum amount of pressure is placed on the point during the release, allowing for a smooth pass and less wear on the points.

Both hydraulic and shear-bolt systems are available across our range, depending on your working conditions.

Great for non-stop ploughing, the hydraulic release system has adjustable resistance for variable performance across soil types. Or, choose the fixed-beam shear bolt system for a simple, cost-effective solution when working in low-stone areas.

Överum Vari Flex CX

Adjustable on the go. The Överum Vari Flex CX Plough are mounted reversible ploughs with hydraulically adjustable working widths between 30 and 50cm. The CX has a high strength-to-weight ratio thanks to the heavy-duty make up of the specialty hardened steel. To minimise the power required to regulate the furrow width, the fulcrum of the furrow is located on the ploughing line of the beam. All fulcrums in the furrow have replaceable bushings with lubrication which reduces stress, prevents damage from dust and moisture, and extends the life of the implement.

The allrounder. The Överum Vari Flex CX Plus is a popular model with hydraulically regulated working width for tractors up to 220HP. It features a sturdy headstock with a 150mm pivot shaft and needle bearing. Överum Vari Flex Semi-Mounted

The Överum Vari Flex Semi-Mounted is a heavy-duty semi-mounted reversible plough with a hydraulically adjustable working width. Providing great function in all conditions, the large rear wheel is steered when the furrow width is changed, meaning it always run parallel with the land sides. The robust frame construction provides extra-large clearance both vertically and horizontally, giving smooth ploughing in difficult conditions. Its low centre of gravity, narrow transport width and balanced weight distribution makes for a favourable transport experience. The largest wheel diameter on the market ensures low rolling resistance an safe function in the field while maintaining good transport stability.
