FarmChief Machinery Southland Service Team

Are you looking to kick the New Year off with a shiny new career? Do you want to start 2024 off with a bang working for a company that values you and where you are not just a number? Tick off that New Year’s Resolution and apply for the job you know you deserve…

Farmchief Machinery Ltd is looking for a Service Technician extraordinaire to join our hard-working and fun-loving team at our Invercargill branch.

While we do have lots of fun, we work hard too. The primary responsibility of this role is to support customers by keeping a wide range of agricultural machinery in working order. This involves working with electrics, electronics, and hydraulics, and it requires adaptability to handle various types of machinery and systems. This is an inhouse based position.

The boring stuff (but kind of important):

  • Proven experience as a Service Technician or a similar role.
  • Trade certificate in a relevant field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Confidence in working with electrics, electronics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to adapt to unfamiliar machinery and systems.
  • Desire to learn and willingness to take on new information.
  • Willingness to step out of your comfort zone and contribute positively to the workplace.
  • High level of motivation and a strong work ethic.
  • Customer-focused and professional attitude at all times.
  • Honesty & reliability are highly regarded.

The fun stuff (just as important):

  • Competitive remuneration based on capabilities.
  • Time and a half pay for work exceeding 50 hours.
  • Tool allowance to support your work.
  • Regular product training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Opportunities for upskilling and personal growth.
  • Regular team-building events, BBQs, work shouts, and generous Christmas gifts.
  • Occasional team incentive bonuses.

We are a close-knit team and a company that genuinely cares about its employees and their families. The company values skill development, teamwork, and a positive work environment.

We’re a family-owned and operated company. Established in the 1940s as Murray Implement Co, the company has grown significantly and now has branches in Invercargill, Gore, Christchurch, Palmerston North & Waikato. We are a leading provider of quality agricultural implements, services, and advice in New Zealand

If you are looking to enhance your skills and become an integral part of a dynamic and awesome team, Farmchief Machinery welcomes your application.
