Farmchief Machinery Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity to join our hard-working and supportive team as an Engineering Service Technician based in the Waikato region.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working with agricultural machinery. You will play a key role in supporting our customers by ensuring their equipment remains reliable, safe, and operational.

About the role

The primary responsibility of this position is to service, diagnose, and repair a wide range of agricultural machinery. You will work across electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems, both in the workshop and out in the field.

Key duties include:

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on agricultural machinery
• Servicing and maintaining electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems
• Providing onsite service and technical support to customers
• Working both independently and as part of a team
• Maintaining accurate service records and communicating clearly with customers and colleagues
• Continuously learning and adapting to new machinery and technologies

About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Experience as an Engineering Service Technician or in a similar mechanical or engineering role
• Trade qualification in engineering, mechanical, automotive, or related field (preferred but not essential)
• Confidence working with electrics, electronics, and hydraulics
• Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Customer-focused and professional approach
• Honesty, reliability, and integrity
• Full, clean driver’s licence
