Features and Benefits

A good, solid, all-rounder, the Jupiter will handle almost any trash and guarantees a nice, level finish. Designed for large-scale farms, with high-horse power tractors, (180 upwards) it is robustly engineered with strong built long chassis; the four-rank tines encourage intensive mixing of crop residue. This cultivator will effortlessly penetrate the ground down to 300mm on the first pass – even when the soil is dry or has been compacted by harvesters or heavy vehicles.

Then there’s the Demeter. This multifunction, vibro cultivator is great for shallow stubble cultivation, working down ploughing, seedbed preparation, destruction of broad-leaf weeds, and burying trash. Thanks to its high clearance frame (58 cm ground clearance) and the 70x12mm tines, it performs well even where there’s a lot of vegetative matter to get through. Fitted with a 500mm heavy duty cage roller this also has the options of an angle iron crumbler roller, the Lamflex roller, a double notched roller, 12mm finger tines, hydraulic front levelling boards, and a small seed broadcasting unit. It couldn’t get much more versatile.

Testimonials

Tom's view

The Webster family farms 450 hectares at Aylesbury, in Canterbury, growing small seeds including carrots and brassicas and grass seed; and wheat and barley. Tom Webster says when the family took over the property a couple of years ago, they were looking for quality cultivation gear to work well behind their 270hp John Deere. They found the Jupiter hit the spot: A good, heavy implement with well-spaced tynes, doing a solid job.
Typically, it’s used with a roller or a maxitill towed behind it, either post-harvest or after green feed.Tom says the Jupiter is living up to expectations. “It’s been really good. It definitely is fit for its purpose. And it’s especially good at handling and incorporating trash.”
